Jess is a Kansas native and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in education from Washburn University. Her creative candle is always burning, and she stays true to that by painting when shc can in her home studio. She enjoys painting colorful pieces for people to enjoy, cooking, playing with her three kids, and traveling to Colorado to visit family. Jess has been sharing her passion for art for 20 years, and has continued to dedicate her knowledge in art to help children develop artistically whether in a group class or individually. Jess truly enjoys teaching children and adults to look at the initial foundations of the art making process so they can grow and learn to create their own inspired masterpiece.

Kate is a potter, working artist, and teacher. It is her belief that there is nothing better in the world than using her hands to make art, drink coffee and pet her cat. Her currently work consists of fun ceramic braille necklaces and unique and playful bowls, cups, trivets, and containers.

I’m a full time student at Johnson County Community College in Kansas City, Kansas. I’m planning to graduate in the Spring of 2017 with an associate degree in Fashion Merchandising and afterwards I'm hoping to change the world!
I’m 20 years old, and have loved crafting ever since I could finger paint! I love to help people discover beauty in themselves through fashion and art.
I currently balance school, clubs, interning, family, friends, and travel whilst volunteering and participating in community gatherings. I’ll be teaching a water color class for beginners in the spring and I’m excited to get more involved with the creative community at Art Angels!

Bret Bolton
From earliest childhood, Bret has had a love for "Art". His early heroes were da Vinci and Disney. Bret attended "Foundations" at the Kansas City Art Institute after High School and then studied fine arts and radio, tv and film at Kansas University. He worked as a graphic artist and an animator in video production, for over 20 years, where he won many ITVA awards. Currently, he favors "Outsider Art" and would like to help people nurture their own innate talent and vision.
